This is why I’ve decided not to lose those last 10 pounds again. Even though I know intellectually that women aren’t supposed to look like Barbie dolls, I feel like there’s something wrong with me. Isn’t that silly?
Why on earth are American women taught by advertisers and the fashion industry that plastic beauty is the ideal? What’s wrong with a normal length neck, curvy hips and thighs, and skin that has actual pores?
Heck, my friend the personal trainer told me that I look great. She should know what’s “normal” and healthy. Isn’t it time to give up on plastic beauty?
